KELLEHER WELCOMES ALLOCATIONS BY THE MINISTER FOR JUSTICE. Tomorrow the Minister
for Justice is expected to announce substantial allocations for two
North Side community based child care programmes.
As part of the Child Care programme run by the Department of
Justice funding is being made available for Staffing over a three-year
period. Fianna Fáils Billy Kelleher
who received the news from the Minister’s office this afternoon is delighted. “It is expected that
Newbury House Family Centre L.T.D will received £240,000 as a staffing
grant. I am delighted that this
allocation is being made to Newbury House centre who have a very dedicated
staff and are doing tremendous work in this disadvantaged area.” “Another equally deserving
project is the Wallaroo Playschool, Military Hill which will be given
£213,524 for the three year period which is also for staffing.” “Child care is a big
issue throughout the country and I am delighted to see that schemes
that are already in existence as in the case of these two North side
schemes that have worked hard to the benefit of their communities are
being supported by Government.” |
