ADDITIONAL TOP UP ALLOCATION FOR THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES

Cork North Central Deputy Billy Kelleher today welcomed the announcement by Minister for the Environment Noel Dempsey of an additional allocation to local authorities to assist in the provision of services.

“ The Minister has today allocated a further £1,288,161 to Cork Corporation and a sum of £1,272,323 to Cork County Council which is a once off payment, made possible by the strength of the economy.”

“ This allocation is a further indication of the Minister’s commitment to assist local authorities in improving the essential services which they proved to the community. The money will be welcomed by the local authorities and used for a variety of requirements.”
