MINISTER MC DAID’S ANNOUNCEMENT

Welcoming the announcement by Minister Mc Daid for £300,000 grant for refurbishment of
existing synthetic Athletics Track at the Cork Institute of Technology.

“This is a very welcome announcement as the track was in a serious state of disrepair.
If repairs were not undertaken then it would have prevented a number of meetings
from going ahead at the venue.”

“This track is available to groups and organisations throughout the City and county and it will be of tremendous benefit to various athletic groups to have such a high quality track.”
