DEPUTY GOVERNMENT WHIP WELCOMES NEW SCHOOL FOR GAELSCOIL AN GHOIRT ALAINN

A clearly delighted Billy Kelleher TD this afternoon welcomed the announcement by the Minister For Education and Science Mary Hanafin that the Gaelscoil has finally been given the go ahead to build their school.

“Gaelscoil an Ghoirt Alainn is one of 21 new schools that the Minister announced today. The school currently located in Brian Dillons GAA grounds Montenotte has been in temporary accommodation since it’s inception, today’s news means that they are finally getting a home of their own,” according to the Deputy.

“The campaign has been on going for a number years and it is a testament to those who have supported the school that they have reached this stage.  Today’s announcement allows the school to now proceed to the appointment of the architectural team who will design and plan the works to be carried out.”
