Deputy Allen's Attack On Fianna Fáil in Cork is utterly delusional.

Deputy Bernard Allen's remarks today that Fianna Fáil T.D.'s were “not punching above their weight” does not stand up to scrutiny and any fair assessment of performance would suggest that both Cork City and County have done very well by this Government, said Deputy Chief Whip Billy Kelleher.

“Any examination of our record will show that unprecedented investment has been made for roads and infrastructure throughout Cork, along with Education such as the Cork School Music, Third Level institutions and both Primary and Secondary. Fianna Fáils Deputies in Cork have also delivered Cork Airport, Hospital funding, Churchfield Swimming Pool, Rail improvements and massive investment in Sport.”

“If Deputy Allen wants to challenge the performance of the Government in delivering for Cork I will be happy to debate with him at any stage,” said the Northside Deputy.

“The simple fact is that Fine Gael is a negative party with a negative campaign and it is bereft of ideas and are now panicking as they realise that the public will not be conned into voting for a party with no vision and nothing to offer either at local or national level.”

“The Fianna Fáil T.D's will keep on punching above their weight and will deliver for Cork while Fine Gael will languish on the ropes!”
